CASTILLO SAN CRISTOBAL

It was great to end our 7 day cruise on a good note, and spend a few days touring Old San Juan. After we checked into our hotel we went in search of some good, authentic Puerto Rican food, stopped by this random restaurant off the street and ate the best yellow rice, veggies and chicken EVER, then went back to the hotel and slept till dark, woke up again and found some more grub at he cutest little restaurant called Mojito's. They literally have the best plantains around town. The next day we did what any typical tourist would do, we toured the city and spent most of the day at the San Juan National Historic site, the Castillo San Cristobal Fortress. The admission was cheap, and we got there right before they shut it down for the day. They closed early because there were rumors of a protest. We had to leave for the airport extremely early because the protest was rumored to slow traffic and cause a major commotion around town. Thankfully we made it out safe and on the flight home in time the next day.

Stay tuned for part two of our San Juan adventures.

Sincerely,
